Project Manager NCC Water and Environmental Engineering
Water and Environmental Engineering is a unit within NCC Infrastructure that works with one of society's most important resources - water. The unit is very successful and is currently responsible for the construction of a large number of water and wastewater treatment plants and water towers around Sweden. Most of the projects are done in collaboration/partnership. We now need to strengthen our group with a project manager.
About the department
Water and Environmental Technology currently consists of about 60 officials with specialist expertise in the technical areas of process, mechanical engineering, electricity and automation. We have special project managers, project managers, calculators, purchasers, process engineers and installation managers with experience and expertise in the design and construction of water treatment plants.
NCC has completed more than 40 water treatment projects in collaboration with clients with a contract value of more than SEK 15 billion. We now need more people in water treatment to meet a continued increase in demand in Scandinavia.
The position of Project Manager
As a Project Manager at NCC Vatten- & Miljöteknik, you are a key person who, together with all the players involved, lays the foundation for successful projects and good business. You are responsible for directing, coordinating and leading the design work towards set goals in terms of quality, sustainability, time and economy. The role of design manager in water treatment projects is distinguished by the participation of many technical disciplines - process specialists, mechanical designers, electrical and automation engineers, HVAC engineers, soil and construction specialists, concrete specialists. The projects are often installation-heavy, where early process and system choices set the conditions and framework for further design. Your responsibility as a project manager is to use good communication and clear leadership to balance different interests and needs with the project's goals in focus.
Through close collaboration with customers and NCC's regional construction departments, you will have the opportunity to work with both large-scale and smaller water and wastewater facilities throughout Sweden, as well as in potential projects in Norway and Denmark.
Your profile
We are looking for you who currently work as a project manager / project manager or have previous experience in one of the roles. Previous experience in production or design (construction, civil engineering, water) is an advantage. We attach great importance to your leadership qualities, the ability to exercise individualized leadership, be responsive but at the same time decisive and goal-oriented. You need to have a sense of order. You should have the ability to see the big picture.
You have a technical education at university level with a focus on civil engineering, water and wastewater or the equivalent.
As a person, you are flexible, committed, thorough and have good collaboration skills. You thrive even when the pace is high and can achieve results together with others. We are looking for you who are a problem solver with a good ability to deliver good service. Since the work involves daily contacts with various customers and stakeholders, we also see that you are a good communicator who expresses yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish and English and holds a B driving license.
Further information
The position is a permanent position with placement at your nearest NCC office. A B-driving license is a requirement for the position and regular travel to our projects in Sweden, Norway and Denmark is part of the role. There are also overnight stays. In accordance with NCC's safety culture, we conduct background checks on our final candidates. A B driver's license is a requirement for the position."
