Rig and Operations Manager for the New Rya project

As Block Manager Rig and Operations on the New Rya mega project, you are responsible for planning and staffing your area, with both personnel and financial responsibility. We are looking for an experienced leader from the construction industry who is passionate about service, is confident in his leadership and a team player.

The position as Rig and Operations Manager

We are looking for you who are passionate about service and being the spider in the web, this is an incredibly important role for everything to work both before and during production. As Block Manager Rig and Operation on the mega project New Rya, you are part of a team where your focus is on being a service organization to a number of production blocks and providing these with what is required for production to work in the best way. You are responsible for the planning and staffing of your area, including both personnel and financial responsibilities.

Duties:

• Build an organization to manage the operation of the site.
• Lead a team of supervisors responsible for settlements, construction flow, drainage water management, site maintenance (construction cleaning and clearing) and rental material / storage responsibility.
• Responsible for the work environment in your area.
• Construct a storage area that will be able to service production with machines, handle goods receipt and repair materials and machines.
• Focus on finances and schedule to ensure that the project keeps budget and time frames.

Organizationally, Rig and Operation (R& D) is part of the production organization and reports to the production manager. As a block manager for R&D, you work closely with production to anticipate and plan for major elements in the schedule. You have regular follow-ups with the other block managers and close contact with supply staff to deal with issues that arise on an ongoing basis.

Your profile

We are looking for you who have solid experience of working with the operation of everything related to establishments around and during production during the time of a construction project. That is, establishments, walkways, but also transport so that logistics with deliveries and planning work well to and from the production sites.

As a person, you have good communication skills and are sensitive to the needs of the project. A team player who has the ability to plan and lead the daily work and create a sense of participation in your team. You are confident and independent in your role as a leader and create a good working climate with a high focus on safety and progress to achieve set goals for your team.

You take responsibility for the financial and administrative work that is part of the role such as invoicing and scheduling systems.

We attach great importance to your personal qualities such as collaboration skills, commitment and drive. It would be an advantage if you have previously worked on large projects.
