The position of Tender Engineer
As a tender engineer, you are responsible for cost calculations of our projects - from the tender documents to the finished tender. Together with a team of managers and specialists, you will develop innovative solutions. Once the project is awarded, you will participate in the start-up and follow-ups as well as the management of project changes. Great emphasis is placed on knowledge and experience exchange and challenging traditional working methods.
A large part of the projects are carried out in close collaboration with the customer and there you will be an important part of the team that works with tender work, budget calculation and planning work during the planning phase and sometimes also support the project during the production phase.
The service includes everything from quantity take-off and detailed calculation to estimates in budget calculations. Depending on the size and complexity of the projects and your experience, you will be responsible for one or more tenders at the same time. In some cases, you may also act as a tender leader where you lead the tender team until the tender is submitted.
You will report to our specialist manager as well as group manager for our thirteen tender engineers who are located in different locations Karlstad in the south to Luleå in the north. Much of our group's communication takes place, among other things, through our digital weekly meetings where we see that you take an active role in sharing your experiences with your colleagues and supporting each other.
About Department Civil North
The Civil North division has around 600 employees and operates in the field of civil engineering, from design and construction to production. We are divided into several production groups with operations in Norrbotten, Västerbotten, Jämtland and Västernorrland and Värmland.
Your Profile as Tender Engineer
You have a construction engineering education and a few years of experience working in land and construction projects in a role as a tender, project / contract engineer or as a site manager or supervisor.
You have worked with various calculation, planning and cost control programs such as MAP, Power Project, MS Project, Office etc. and have good knowledge of construction law such as AMA Anläggning, MER, AB04 and ABT06.You can see the big picture without losing the details, are analytical, accurate and realize the importance of delivering to deadlines.
A large part of your work will take place in meetings with both customers and colleagues, which you feel comfortable with. You have a strong drive to find good and cost-effective solutions and enjoy working both independently and in groups and are not afraid to ask for help when you need it.
You have good knowledge of Swedish and English in both speech and writing.
Further information
The service is a permanent position. Location can be Luleå, Skellefteå, Umeå, Örnsköldsvik or Sundsvall. Driving license is required as there is some travel. This position is background checked in accordance with NCC's safety culture.
