As in-house counsel at NKT, you will work closely with our operations, business and projects. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a global company in the green transition. Deliver business-critical legal advice that supports the progress of projects Our business is global, including complex multi-billion dollar contracts for the development, manufacture, supply and service of our high voltage cables. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering legal advice both in the tender and project phases. You will work closely with the sales and project teams to evaluate requests and optimize tenders, manage legal risks and ensure contractual project execution. You will also liaise with subcontractors, customers and their lawyers. Your main responsibilities include: * Providing legal support, both in the context of tenders (drafting, negotiations and internal approvals) and project implementation. Always balancing legal, commercial and practical aspects, risks and opportunities * Contribute to and support internal approvals related to tenders and purchases * Contribute to business development * Provide legal support on a variety of issues arising in this type of business including signposting to relevant specialist functions such as insurance, HR and HSE You will be part of the Corporate Affairs legal department and report to the Head of PLC Nordics within the Projects and Large Contracts group. This position can be based in Sweden, Denmark or Norway, with the possibility to work from home. You are expected to travel to our factory in Karlskrona, to the head office in Copenhagen and to customer meetings (mainly in Europe). The amount of travel is about 25% with periodic peaks. You are able to provide clear advice, adapt your communication and make quick assessments to solve and prioritize tasks effectively. You thrive in a collaborative team where you share and learn knowledge and support others. As the team is geographically dispersed, we are looking for someone who thrives in an independent role where you mainly meet colleagues digitally. Furthermore, you have: * A Master's degree in law or business law * At least 5 years of professional experience as a corporate lawyer or equivalent in-house role or in a law firm, of which at least 3 years as a corporate lawyer in or advisor to an EPC/EPCI business * Experience with FIDIC based contracts and preferably other commonly used standard contracts * You have worked with commercial law, especially contract drafting and interpretation, negotiations and project disputes * Fluent in English and in Swedish, Danish or Norwegian.
