A role with broad responsibilities
As a Calculation Engineer, you will be part of a team of other Calculation Engineers, Mechanical Designers and Project Managers working together to implement improvements and investments to our high-tech production facility in Karlskrona. The work includes a stimulating and varied everyday life where you follow the work from idea to producing equipment.
In the role, you participate in several different types of projects, which include different proportions of calculation assignments. You will also work closely with the designers to verify mechanical strength based on current standards and guidelines. The calculation engineer has an important role and contributes with expert knowledge and support to project managers, designers and production engineers.
Your responsibilities include:
* Strength calculations of structures
* Simulations using the finite element method
* Cable management simulations
* Planning and streamlining the calculation assignments
* Order management

To succeed in the role, you should have the following experience:
* A degree in mechanical or civil engineering with a focus on some form of calculation is a prerequisite for the role.
* Knowledge and previous experience from mechanical design and calculation work according to Eurocode.
* Fluency in Swedish and English in both speech and writing is a requirement.
Basic knowledge of machine safety, AFS and CE marking is an advantage. Previous experience in cable manufacturing and cable handling is also considered an advantage. In addition, knowledge of WindChill, SolidWorks and Ansys is meritorious.
