Be part of developing the cable systems of the future In the role of Project Engineer, you will work on the design of the most advanced cable systems on the market in our delivery projects. You will use both proprietary and commercially available software to design cable systems in all aspects; electrical, mechanical and thermal. Your calculations will enable the creation of cost-effective solutions while adhering to relevant standards. You are keen to tailor NKT's technical offering to customer requirements and applicable standards while maintaining responsibility for risk, budget and schedule. You will manage all aspects of a commercial offer or the implementation of a project, such as commercial, legal, planning and installation activities. NKT in Karlskrona has a state of the art manufacturing facility for the production of high voltage and extra high voltage cables, NKT in Karlskrona also has one of the largest AC & DC high voltage cable testing labs in Northern Europe. Your primary tasks will be: * Oversee the technical area of the project and drive all technical deliverables. * Design high quality and cost effective cable systems based on customer specifications and all relevant standards. * Perform technical calculations in our programs including electrical, thermal and mechanical calculations. * Take responsibility for cost calculations related to the products, tests and engineering work in projects. * Assess risks and opportunities in delivery projects. * Responsible for understanding and taking into account customer contracts/specifications. * Act as technical interface with customer in delivery projects (majority outside Sweden). * Writing technical documents around the technical solution we offer the customer. Furthermore, you are systematic in collecting, organizing and presenting data in technical documentation in English with high quality and in accordance with internal and customer requirements. Your CV includes: * Master's degree in the technical field, i.e. in electrical engineering, physics, mathematics, chemistry or equivalent. * Knowledge and experience with modern engineering IT tools, such as Matlab and Comsol * Fluency in spoken and written Swedish and English, most external communication is in English. * Experience in the technical field is meritorious.
