About the position - Head of Purchasing

The Purchasing unit in Norsk Tipping covers procurement and purchasing for the entire company. Purchasing currently consists of 10 employees. The unit contributes to the operationalization of the company's goals by ensuring the conclusion, management and phasing out of purchasing agreements in line with strategic initiatives and goals. Procurement works together with professionals and key personnel across the company, and we strive to work smoothly and efficiently with a focus on continuous improvement.

We have introduced category management, and our purchasing categories range widely, from physical goods to consulting services and IT systems. Norsk Tipping currently has approximately 250 agreements, 1.5 billion in withdrawals on goods, and up to 100 procurements a year.

As head of the unit, you will have overall responsibility for all purchasing categories, signed supplier agreements and purchasing processes. The role also includes responsibility for the maintenance and further development of models and frameworks for analysis. Our main focus is to further digitize our work processes, benefit realization, sustainability and strategic supplier development.

The Head of Procurement reports to the Director of Finance and Corporate Governance.


The position's main tasks

  • Lead and further develop the procurement area and strengthen the procurement environment in the company. Including continuing the digitization of the area
  • Personal responsibility for approximately 10 employees
  • Ensure compliance with the company's internal objectives
  • Ensure that the company acts within the regulations in the area - Norsk Tipping is subject to the Public Procurement Act and Regulations

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Desired experience and competence

First and foremost, you have comparable management experience, are confident as a leader and want to take on management responsibility. Mastery of the subject is a prerequisite, so experience from purchasing, preferably with public procurement, is important. We hope you have good experience of streamlining and digitizing processes, as well as good Norwegian and English language skills and relevant education.

Our new manager should be able to be described as clearly team-oriented, and someone who thrives on leading processes and creating good results together with your employees. To succeed - and thrive - you need to be professionally confident, with a high degree of ability to involve and agree on common goals. The ability to act in a solution-oriented and analytical manner in an occasionally hectic working day is something we think it's important for candidates to recognize. The same goes for good business acumen and an understanding of drivers in the organization, also outside their own area of expertise. We also believe that our new Head of Procurement is clear in his or her communication style, and is characterized by a high level of implementation.
