Northvolt has an exciting job offer for an Industrial Electrician to join our fantastic team at Revolt Ett in Skellefteå.

By joining us, you will play an important role, from the very beginning, in building one of Europe's first large-scale battery recycling plants. Revolt will play an important role in the transition to a carbon-free society by bringing sustainability to the battery industry.

We are building Revolt from the ground up and will need people who are not only comfortable following procedures, but also creating them. The ideal candidate should see themselves as a true team player with a great personality and attitude. Someone who is outgoing, has excellent communication skills, works well with others and is committed to helping this great project reach its full potential.

You will work closely with operators, technicians and other production staff where your focus will be on maintaining Revolt Ett's power distribution system and a unique, unique system used to safely and autonomously discharge batteries prior to recycling. Although shift work is not currently required, this situation is expected to change once commissioning is complete and production begins.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate with operators, technicians and other production personnel to understand and effectively communicate improvements and maintenance activities
  • Install, maintain and repair electrical control, wiring and lighting systems
  • Read technical diagrams and drawings
  • Perform general electrical maintenance
  • Check transformers and switches and other electrical components

  • Troubleshoot electrical problems with appropriate test equipment

  • Contribute to the optimization of maintenance programs

  • Mentor for others in maintenance specific tasks

  • Evaluation of necessary spare parts for electrical equipment
  • Together with the rest of the team, be a key player in developing and maintaining a safe work environment

Education experience

  • Three-year electrical high school with specialization in Industrial Electrician or similar
  • Industrial electrical experience in a production environment

  • Basic computer skills (Word, Teams, Excel)

  • Good knowledge of English

Specific skills/abilities

  • Good technical knowledge of 33kV and 400V electrical systems
  • Familiarity with GIS medium voltage systems and maintenance practices
  • Knowledge in robotics and screws/conveyors would be an asset
  • Good problem solving skills, understands the importance of keeping the decided maintenance plan and production targets
