Job duties
You will primarily work in the Hematologist's day care, reception and care department. At the hematology section at Sunderby Hospital, investigations, treatments and follow-ups of patients with blood disorders from all over Norrbotten take place. Most forms of acute and chronic malignant blood and lymph node diseases as well as benign hematology are handled here. We have a well-developed collaboration with the regional hospital in Umeå and with the treatment units at the hospitals in the county. As a specialist doctor, you work in both outpatient and inpatient care. Outpatient care consists of a large day care operation for rapid investigations and treatments, as well as reception that is locally integrated with day care. The care department has 5-7 wards, of which 5 are isolation rooms with locks, and here patients in need of intensive chemotherapy treatment (for example, acute leukemias or high-malignant lymphomas) and aftercare after autologous stem cell transplants are mainly cared for. We are today 5 specialists and four ST doctors and we all work with the entire spectrum of hematological diagnoses, with the opportunity to profile ourselves in any field.

We participate in several national diagnostic groups, and for many years have actively participated in clinical drug trials in the various diagnostic areas.

KC Internal Medicine and Geriatrics also conducts extensive activities in Stroke, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Geriatrics, Palliative Medicine and Nephrology. The general internal medicine assignment is shared between the sections. We have a close collaboration with KC Hjärtsjukvård, with whom we, among other things, share the on-call assignment. There is also the opportunity to work in internal medicine's general positions - currently the emergency department and emergency care places. If you are a specialist in Internal Medicine, it may also be relevant to serve in the emergency line.

Your background
We are looking for you with a Swedish medical license with knowledge of the Swedish language at C1 level and with completed specialist service in Hematology. Merit is a specialist degree in Internal Medicine and a doctorate and active research.
