Are you the one? Scandic Wallin is, as the name suggests, located on Wallingatan, which borders between City and Vasastan in Stockholm. The place is centrally located with everything from cultural experiences, shopping streets and other attractions around the corner. Inside, the interior pays homage to modern art and design, colors that warm and shapes that arouse curiosity - the interior is a small bow to the house's designer, Sven "Mr Funkis" Markelius. After two years of extensive renovations, Scandic Wallin will open in a new suit on March 26, 2025, and it's now time for us to look for new colleagues for this hotel opening.

What does the role of Shift Leader Front Office entail?
As a Front Office Shift Leader, you are responsible for ensuring that our guests receive world-class service. You are the spider in the web that ensures that the guest is always in focus. You're the one who goes through the arrival list and spends time on the details. You solve most things and are a star at turning a dissatisfied guest into a satisfied guest. The area of responsibility also includes administrative work, security work and work with sales. Working in the Front Office means checking guests in and out of the hotel, greeting them and giving them the information they need about their stay. You handle bookings in the Opera Cloud system and handle administrative tasks around guests and security.The work also involves ensuring quality and service in our bar where simple drinks and food are served.
In the role of Shift Leader, in addition to being part of the operation, you have the overall overview of the guest flow and, together with the team, ensure that tasks are prioritized so that the business flows so that the guests are satisfied. You lead and distribute the work and manage the staffing during your shift. If necessary, you may train new employees at the hotel and you also relieve the Front Office Manager with some administrative tasks.
The hotel is open 24 hours a day, so it is important that you are comfortable working in shifts (mornings, afternoons and weekends).
Your skills
For this role, you need to have both the ability and willingness to work with operational leadership. You are confident in your leadership and have both integrity and sales drive. To fit the role, we also believe that you have well-developed social skills and are able to handle many different things happening at the same time. It is very important that you can convey good hospitality to the hotel guests. You are a responsive and unpretentious team player who takes great responsibility for your tasks and the overall result.
You also have experience and knowledge of working with a computer as a tool.
Since the work largely consists of communicating with guests, good knowledge of Swedish and English is a prerequisite. If you speak another language, this is an advantage.
Information about the position:
The position is a permanent full-time position.
