Scandic Södertälje is located at the intersection of two of Sweden's busiest European roads. Local and long-distance trains meet here and Södertälje is also a major port for shipping to Lake Mälaren. We want to be the hotel with the most unique personality along the E4 in Scandinavia. A high proportion of regular guests and several who have been loyal guests for many years, means that the hotel is a place with a family feeling. Scandic Södertälje is relatively small, which also helps to create the unique atmosphere. We are now looking for a Sous Chef with a strong interest in service and development. You have a passion for service and want to inspire and motivate your colleagues and create the conditions for you to create outstanding guest experiences together. - You are responsible for cooking and evening service Monday-Thursday and also assist with special orders on other days. Flexibility is your strength in a business where demand changes rapidly. - Ensure the operation during your shift so that the department's goals for operations and guest satisfaction are achieved. - Responsibility for menus, purchasing and inventory and ensuring that Scandic standards are followed. - Responsible for the kitchen's own control program (HACCP) - Contributes to the development of the kitchen's quality, colleagues and routines and working methods together with direct reporting managers. You are a trained chef and perhaps have worked for a few years and want to develop in leadership and run your own kitchen and be part of and responsible for the service work. Alternatively, you have more experience and want to work more flexibly in an organization where departmental boundaries are not so sharp but cooperation is the way forward. You are open to change and have the ability to engage colleagues, are flexible and have the ability to see solutions and build relationships. You are a person who takes it for granted to be present at different times and days and have a desire to develop. You recognize the benefits of collaboration, provide regular feedback and are communicative. You plan your time and work purposefully towards short- and long-term goals. We work with different system support and you are comfortable learning different programs. This is a full-time, permanent position.
