What does the role entail As F&B Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the breakfast, restaurant, kitchen and bars. You are constantly updated and have an eye on the market. You are also responsible for striking the all-important balance between short-term profits and long-term sustainable performance. In this role, you are expected to lead the department with the help of your direct reports and drive our F&B departments forward. You are part of the day-to-day operations and you are responsible for planning and staffing based on the needs of the business. Furthermore, the position requires you to: - Work strategically and with target management (including relevant key performance indicators). - Motivate, coach and train your staff. - You are part of the daily operations, you plan and staff based on the needs of the business. - Manage inventory and purchasing according to Scandic's guidelines - Ensure that employees handle the cash register and follow Scandic routines - Ensure that the restaurant and bar menus are updated according to the hotel's needs - Ensure that the hotel's procedures for self-monitoring in food safety are managed and updated - Ensure that all employees who handle food are aware of and follow food safety legislation and Scandic's food policy - Attract and recruit future colleagues. - Being part of the hotel's management team where you are actively involved in the long-term work of the entire hotel. - The role reports to the General Manager.
