The position As an Optimization Engineer, your main responsibility will be to develop the conditions for creating maximum value from our production assets in various ways. The role includes the development, implementation and management of optimization models and tools for generation planning, ancillary services delivery and trading in the electricity and balancing markets. It also includes monitoring and ensuring continuous regulatory compliance for the relevant markets. Other tasks may include investment studies and calculations for hydro, wind and CHP, as well as data analysis and visualization related to optimization, physical trading and balancing. With us, you will be part of the Physical Trading group, which today consists of 17 employees in close collaboration with each other. Together we support and help each other to provide the group with the very best support in production optimization and physical power trading. Requirements - Master of Science or Master of Engineering with a specialization in energy, electrical power, mathematics, engineering physics, statistics, data science, programming or industrial economics, or other relevant education and/or relevant equivalent work experience that is deemed equivalent - Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written Meritorious - Previous experience from forecast development, physical electricity/power trading, planning and optimization of power systems, or system development for production optimization is advantageous - Good knowledge of electricity market and power systems - Good knowledge of data analysis, programming, optimization, AI, mathematics and/or statistical analysis Who are we then?
