We are looking for a Head of the Career and Development Unit, which is partly under construction. The Career and Development Unit leads, manages and monitors the administration's attraction work, the processes of skills transfer, skills development and professional development, and digital development. You will lead a team consisting of, among others, digitalization developers and competence developers. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES As Head of Unit, you will have financial, human resources and operational responsibilities. You will report directly to the Head of Unit for the national mission. In this role, you will also work in an operational capacity and on behalf of the Head of Unit. Your responsibilities will include leading, managing and following up the work of the administration in the areas of attraction, skills transfer, skills development, professional development and digital development. As Head of Unit for Careers and Development, you will be the process owner for processes within the unit's areas of responsibility. The unit leads and coordinates the work of the administration's professional program and clinical training. In addition, the unit is responsible for driving skills transfer through initiatives such as Work Integrated Learning (WIL), Teach for Sweden and Work Integrated Learning (WIL). The unit is responsible for digital development within the administration linked to the curriculum assignment. The assignment also includes strategic monitoring and planning of the administration's digital business development, which means leading projects of varying scope and content. The unit's work includes collaboration with universities and colleges on skills supply and professional development. QUALIFICATIONS To be qualified for the role, you need to have a college or university education with a relevant focus in, for example, pedagogy or social or behavioral sciences, at least 180 points. You should have experience of operational responsibility and be able to lead, manage and monitor processes. As a manager, you will be expected to manage human resources issues such as work environment and skills development. Previous management experience is required and you should be able to demonstrate that you have successfully managed work, staff and activities. To be able to take responsibility for your unit's finances, you will need to have knowledge and understanding of budget and finance. We are looking for someone who is structured and has the ability to organize and plan their work well. You are confident and secure in challenging situations. You are good at looking outside the box and thinking in new ways, while being able to put yourself in the shoes of others, listen and show consideration. We also look for you to be solution-focused and able to quickly find solutions to problems. The role requires you to have good communication skills in speech and writing in Swedish and be skilled in your way of communicating. OTHER Education and Labor Market is one of the municipality's largest administrations with approximately 3,000 employees. Our operations are located throughout the municipality, with around 35 compulsory schools, 87 preschools, 40 after-school clubs and four upper secondary schools. We work to ensure that children and young people have the tools they need to find their way in both the present and the future.
