WORK TASKS As Head of the Development Unit, you have both strategic and operational responsibility for the department and your unit. You will report directly to the Head of Department and a management team that works to develop the department and address its challenges. Together with other managers, you will work towards the overall objectives of the Social Board and the department. You are responsible for following up, ensuring quality and driving development forward in the department and to the Social Board. Your management style is characterized by close and coaching leadership, where you build on trust. The unit's tasks include finance and administration, skills development, coordination, communication, business development and innovation support. You ensure that the business develops from its current situation to future goals, through strategic collaboration, co-creation and making the best use of available expertise. You work to ensure that collaboration works across operational and organizational boundaries and ensure that resources are used where they do the most good, so that we can make a difference for those we serve. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you with an academic education that is considered suitable for the assignment. You have managerial and leadership experience and are confident in that role. It is natural for you to work with a trust-based leadership and a coaching approach where you motivate and engage others. You also have experience of financial planning and follow-up, quality and development work and work environment management. It is an advantage if you have experience of working at a strategic level in a larger organization. You work independently and ensure that good dialogues and cooperation are the key to success in your assignment. You are decisive, accurate in your risk assessment and have the ability to see the consequences of your decisions from an overall perspective. In your role as a manager, you must be a skilled communicator, both orally and in writing in Swedish. It is an advantage if you have experience of working in a public organization. OTHER The Social Office's employees provide care and support to people throughout Skellefteå. They may be elderly people, people with physical or mental disabilities or individuals and families in need of special support for a period. Our activities are located throughout the municipality and we have specialists in several areas of care, care, nutrition, support and activation for the disabled, substance abuse care, family counseling and much more.
