The trustee function is now expanding its activities and is therefore looking for two driven people who want to make a difference for the individual. We are responsible for supporting citizens with special needs, so-called principals, in financial, social and legal matters. The work is based on Skellefteå municipality's ethical principles and it is important to exercise the work with respect for the individual with regard to personal integrity. The business is organized within the administration Support and premises. The workplace is centrally located in Skellefteå. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES As an administrator, you work with the entire range of social work except for taking decisions from the authorities. Instead, you are the one who applies for interventions for the principals, where you are based on each individual's specific needs and conditions. You represent and safeguard the interests and rights of the principals in their daily lives, both socially and financially. This means that, in addition to contacts with principals, you also have contact with various authorities such as social services, psychiatry, insurance funds and others. You will also prepare financial summaries and accounts. You represent the principal, which means that you sometimes need to stand up for the principal's rights despite sometimes encountering resistance. Managing and being responsible for the principal's private finances is part of the work, which is reported to the guardianship unit on an annual basis. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who have a university degree in, for example, social work, economics, law or other education that is suitable for the assignment. You have previous work experience of social work or life experience of people in difficult life situations. It is an advantage if you have experience of administrative tasks and have handled simple bookkeeping, budgeting and accounting. It is also an advantage if you have experience of networking with various actors such as social services, psychiatry and the Social Insurance Agency. We would like to see that you have legal knowledge of the legislation (e.g. SOL, LSS, FB) that affects the business and an interest in working with legal issues. With your knowledge, you will help to ensure that we always act in accordance with current legislation and practice. The work involves a great deal of personal responsibility, but also an opportunity to plan and structure your work. You need to be able to put yourself in other people's shoes and understand their situation. In other situations, you need to be able to set boundaries and be confident that you cannot meet everyone's needs. Good communication skills in Swedish are a requirement. OTHER INFORMATION The Support and Facilities Department is tasked with coordinating and developing effective support so that the municipality's operations can focus on their various main tasks and provide more efficient service to the municipality's residents.
