Social psychiatry offers people with mental illness, neuropsychiatric disabilities or mild developmental disabilities support in various forms. It can be in ordinary accommodation where we support the person in their own home or in housing with special services, which is in our service houses or accommodation. WORK DUTIES As a support assistant or support staff, you are part of people's path back to an independent life. You plan together with the person what measures are needed to have a functioning everyday life and work goal-oriented with a recovery perspective. It can be about creating and training routines, making social contacts or leisure activities. The work involves collaboration with relatives, resource persons and other work groups. For us, it is important that you feel safe at work, and we therefore offer an introduction that is adapted based on your conditions and previous experience. Working hours are scheduled day, evening and weekend. Night on call and awake night also occur. For us, it is important that the working hours work both for you and for the business. We therefore try to be flexible when it comes to scheduling. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for people with different experiences and backgrounds. For support staff, we are looking for you who may not have had time to gain much experience, but who are attracted to working with people. We are also looking for you who are studying or want to study to become police officers, sociologists, psychologists or behavioral scientists. To be employed as a support assistant, you need to have education in health care or children and leisure with a focus on educational or social work. It is advantageous if you have experience of working with people with different functional variations or mental illness and have experience of nursing and social work based on the individual's needs. In your work, you need to be able to see the healthy in people and take advantage of and develop their abilities with great interest, desire and commitment. You have an interest in working with different communication strategies and have a calm and confident approach. The work requires that you are attentive and responsive and that you enjoy working both independently and in collaboration with others. You must be 18 years of age to work in our business. It is important that you have sufficiently good physical conditions to cope with the tasks the work entails. Being able to speak and write in Swedish is also a requirement because you will keep social documentation and communicate with people, relatives and colleagues. OTHER The Social Office's employees provide care, concern and support to people throughout Skellefteå. They can be elderly, people with physical or mental disabilities or individuals and families in need of special support for a period. Our operations are located all over the municipality and with us there are specialists in several areas within care, care, nutrition, support and activation for the disabled, substance abuse treatment, family counseling and much more.
