Every day for the whole of Skellefteå. We are looking for three substitutes for our team at Melodivägen 1 and 5 in Sjungande Dalen, where we work with people with varying disabilities. Here at our workplace, you get the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of people who need it most. Many of our residents have significant nursing needs. The Support and Service department works with people who have disabilities to varying degrees and need support to increase the opportunities for an independent and meaningful life. This takes place through an activity that is accessible, in constant development and of high quality. Welcome to become one of us! WORK DUTIES Through knowledge of physical, mental and intellectual disabilities, you must respond, support and help based on the individual's wishes and needs in a varied and professional manner. The work takes place on the basis of elaborated implementation plans and with clarifying pedagogy and involves collaboration with relatives, resource persons and other work groups. Your duties include personal care and support for our residents, including help with food, hygiene and activities. As the work requires some double manning, it is important that you have a good physique. Working hours are divided into day, evening and weekend. QUALIFICATIONS For the role of support assistant, you need to have education in care and social care or the children's and leisure program with a focus on people with special needs or other suitable education. As support staff, you need to have knowledge and understanding of disabilities and their impact on the individual. Experience of working with people with various disabilities as well as experience of working with children and young people are meritorious. As a person, you need to have good ability to flexibly switch between different activities and adapt your work based on different situations and ways of working. We would like to see that you have good knowledge in low-affective treatment and a clarifying way of working. You are confident, responsive and enjoy working both independently and together with others. The role requires good communication skills in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. Skellefteå municipality is a Finnish and Sami administrative municipality, it is therefore advantageous if you know Finnish or Sami. If you also know sign language, we see it as an asset in our operations. Selection and interviews are ongoing. OTHER The Social Office's employees provide care, concern and support to people throughout Skellefteå. They can be elderly, people with physical or mental disabilities or individuals and families in need of special support for a period. Our operations are located all over the municipality and we have specialists in several areas within care, care, nutrition, support and activation for the disabled, substance abuse treatment, family counseling and much more.
