We are looking for a substitute for our sales office in Piteå as one of our employees will be on parental leave.
The department is responsible for Smurfit Westrock's sales of Containerboard in Scandinavia and for sales of volumes from the factory in Piteå to markets outside Europe. Our team currently consists of 7 people and you will report to our Sales Office Manager.
Work tasks
You will be part of our team where your duties include responsibility for the replenishment of stock items at Smurfit Westrock's internal Scandinavian corrugated units according to their forecasts, as well as planning and following up on the transport to the customer. The work includes meeting their needs for paper from both internal and external suppliers in a way that utilizes our capacity as optimally as possible, both in terms of production but also logistically. You will also receive orders from internal and external customers to be placed in production and be responsible for following up production and planning delivery to the customer. Furthermore, you are responsible for receiving and adjusting forecasts so that our replenishment at customers is as accurate as possible.
Your tasks also include ensuring that master data is updated and reliable for our customers in the computer systems we work with. We have a digital business process with our internal customers and this work also includes investigating and managing deviations in the digital flow. You also follow up payments and receive and administer complaints. In the role of Sales and VMI Planner, you will work in close contact with our customers in Scandinavia, the paper mills we represent, external suppliers and to some extent our agents and trading houses that we cooperate with in sales outside Europe.
Your background
To fit the role, you should be accurate, structured, analytical and service-oriented and enjoy working in a team. A large part of the working day involves planning and combining the deliveries to be sent out to customers the next day, which requires a certain habit of handling numbers and thinking logically. You should also be able to take responsibility, plan your work independently and prioritize your tasks.
A high level of service is important, as we need to show good judgment in social contacts with customers and suppliers. A working day with us is not always the same depending on events in production and the supply chain, which requires flexibility, stress resistance and the ability to handle several tasks at the same time.
We would like to see that you, in addition to upper secondary education, have completed a supplementary course or relevant vocational college. Previous experience in logistics, planning or sales is an advantage. As many of the contacts are international, we expect you to be fluent in both Swedish and English in speech and writing. We also require good knowledge of the Microsoft Office package. Experience and habit of working in the SAP business system is an advantage.
Other information
The position is limited in time until August 2026 with possible extension. The location of the employment is in Piteå and with access May 19 or by agreement.
Our employees are our most important asset and therefore we offer a large number of benefits, including a 37.5-hour work week for full-time, a generous wellness benefit, internal company health care, subsidized lunch and free coffee and fruit.
