About the service Smurfit Westrock Piteå is now looking for a Laboratory Technician! The main activities of the laboratory include environmental, process and quality control linked to production. In addition to this, the laboratory also works on behalf of the European innovation team EIT and on behalf of other production units within the Smurfit Westrock Group. What we are looking for is a resource for our Chemical Laboratory. The main tasks are to perform sampling and analysis of selected process parameters in environmental, water and chemical recycling. We also support production in problem solving with chemical analysis using our advanced chemical equipment. The laboratory is accredited according to ISO17025. Your background You have at least 3 years of upper secondary education with a technical/scientific focus or KY training in pulp and paper or biomedical analyst. Since our customers also include other production units within Smurfit Westrock, the ability to communicate in both speech and writing in English is a requirement. Process and product knowledge is advantageous as well as experience of laboratory work with quality assurance according to ISO 17025. We are looking for you who have a systematic and methodical approach. The service requires accuracy, flexibility and good collaboration skills.
