The Head of Donations has overall responsibility for all existing programs and new allocations of donations. The purpose is to ensure that the bank's donation funds are used for socially beneficial purposes in line with the Group's strategy and applicable regulations. Central to the role is to collaborate with resources in their own department, other departments in the Communication, Marketing and Branding division, the business divisions, gift recipients, and other internal and external partners.
The role reports to the Marketing Manager Local Brand.
Office location is Oslo or Hamar.
Main tasks
- Responsibility for all existing programs and new allocations of gift funds, ensuring that the funds are used according to the purpose.
- Ensuring that all gift programs and allocations are in line with the company's overall strategy, brand and applicable regulations. This involves understanding the company's goals and values, and being able to integrate these into gift programs and grants.
- Use the department's resources to develop quality content in concepts and programs, and ensure good activation. Resources such as concept developer, content producer, trade marketing coordinator, event project manager and sponsorship manager will be essential contributors. The Gift Manager will act as project owner, project manager, and/or participant in various contexts.
- Build and maintain good relationships with gift recipients, owner foundations and other partners.
- Main day-to-day contact with our owner foundations; Sparebankstiftelsen Hedmark and Totens Sparebankstiftelse.
- Analyze data and results from gift programs to assess their effectiveness and value creation.
- Administer, follow up and report on projects that receive gift funds, including assessment of the project's feasibility and social benefit.
- Manage the company's gift fund in line with current regulations and criteria for allocations.
- Lead processes for evaluating and selecting recipients of gift funds, including by sitting on various juries/decision forums for our gift programs. This involves setting up criteria for allocation, assessing applications, and being able to make decisions based on both quantitative and qualitative assessments.
- Operational responsibility for Customer Dividend in the division.
- Member of the Sustainability Fund's working group.
- Superuser of systems for gifts, as well as being the bank's representative in the user forum.
Skills, education and experience
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Relevant education, minimum bachelor's degree, in marketing, communication, economics, law, political science or equivalent.
- Good analytical skills and ability to use data to make good decisions.
- Good understanding and insightful overview of what engages society and the local community.
- Knowledge of laws and regulations governing gift allocations is an advantage.
