Are you the one?

We are now looking for a fire protection coordinator who can take a prominent role in developing and driving our fire protection work forward! Location Borlänge.

Becoming part of the SSAB family means joining us on a journey. A journey that we believe is crucial for the future of the planet and sustainability. Steel has been one of the most important materials for the development of our society and will continue to be so in the future. In our homes, in bridges connecting our cities and in the cars of tomorrow. At SSAB, we are proud of our history and our leadership in high strength steel. At the same time, we are aware that steel production is one of the industries that emits the most greenhouse gases in the world. This must change. We have therefore developed the world's first fossil-free process for steel production and around 2030 we will be largely fossil-free. As part of SSAB, you will be important in realizing this goal and thus contribute to a green transition of the entire steel industry.

As a Fire Protection Coordinator, you have a leading and coordinating role within our Fire Protection & Risk Management team at SSAB in Borlänge.

You are responsible for supervising and coordinating our fire mechanics and their work with technical fire protection systems, while ensuring that our systems and routines meet high standards.

The role also involves managing partnerships with external suppliers and supporting projects.

  • Ensure that governing documentation and procedures are updated and followed.
  • Support and lead smaller installations related to technical fire protection systems, from the planning phase to implementation.
  • Keep up to date on the external situation and drive developments in your field.

About you

  • Experience in leading and coordinating teams, preferably in technical systems or fire protection.
  • You have a good ability to motivate and engage your team. We believe that you are communicative and want to create results in collaboration with others.
  • Good technical skills in fire protection systems, such as fire alarms, sprinkler systems and gas extinguishing systems.
  • Documented experience of working with administration and coordination in technical or safety-related areas. You need to be structured and organized with an ability to prioritize and plan your work.
  • Relevant education in fire protection, technical systems or equivalent work experience.
  • B-driving license.
  • It is also advantageous if you have experience of working in the process industry and/or experience of working with digital maintenance systems.
