About the position

The laboratory's task is to carry out analyses and investigations for the environmental and production departments in particular. Our environmental and steel analyses are accredited by SWEDAC, which means that the requirements for quality assurance are high. This role is located at the operations laboratory, which supports the steelworks with analyses. As an analytical operator at the operations laboratory, your main tasks consist of metallurgical analyses for SSAB's iron and steel production. You will be part of a team consisting of a laboratory engineer, service technicians, service and analysis operators. The laboratory has close cooperation with our customers and we perform analyzes for the entire production chain in Luleå.

Your main responsibilities

• Perform analyses on metallurgical samples, raw materials and residues (combustion analysis and optical and X-ray spectrometric methods)
• Report and approve analysis results to the customer
• Check and correct instrument operation according to routines

About you

• You have a passed high school diploma that has given you knowledge in chemistry and mathematics (science / technology)
• Good technical understanding and interest in analytical work.
• It is an advantage if you have experience from laboratory work and/or knowledge from SSAB's production
• You have good collaboration skills
• You speak and write in Swedish. Read and understand basic technical English
