Application due date 31 January 2025
Are you the one?

Are you a technically minded problem solver who wants to develop in a dynamic and advanced production environment? At SSAB's Råjärn unit in Luleå, we are now looking for a committed Electrical Technician who wants to contribute to our success. Here you are offered an exciting and varied role where technical expertise and accuracy are key to creating sustainable solutions and ensuring efficient production.

Becoming part of the SSAB family means joining a journey. A journey that we believe is crucial for the future of the planet and sustainability. Steel has been one of the most important materials for the development of our society and will continue to be so in the future. In our homes, in bridges connecting our cities and in the cars of tomorrow. At SSAB, we are proud of our history and our leadership in high strength steel. At the same time, we are aware that steel production is one of the industries that emits the most greenhouse gases in the world. This must change. We have therefore developed the world's first fossil-free process for steel production and around 2030 we will be largely fossil-free. As part of SSAB, you will be important in realizing this goal and thus contribute to a green transition of the entire steel industry.

About the position

As an Electrical Technician at Råjärn, you will be a key player in our production, where safety is always in focus. The Råjärn unit includes blast furnace, raw material plants, energy and media as well as locomotives and tracks. You will be part of a dedicated team working closely together to ensure the stability and development of our processes.

In close collaboration with plant owners and other specialist groups, such as mechanics and hydraulics, you will work to identify and solve technical challenges. The role offers a dynamic and varied working day with great opportunity to influence and develop both work processes and the plant's technical infrastructure.

Your main responsibilities

  • Project and plan maintenance and minor investment projects for Råjärn.
  • Ensure and update electrical plant documentation.
  • Responsible for the administration of electrical consumables and repair of spare parts.
  • Create preventive maintenance plans (PM) for new facilities in consultation with the manager.
  • Act as acting (TF) manager of the Råjärn El and IT department when needed.
  • Perform tasks within instruments and automation, depending on your skills and experience.

About you

  • Have a technical education in electricity (at least upper secondary level) and a few years of experience in the profession, preferably with knowledge of instruments and automation.
  • Are structured, solution-oriented and have a strong desire to learn new things.
  • Care about the safety of yourself and your colleagues.
  • A team player with good self-awareness who spreads positive energy and leads by example.
  • Have the ability to analyze and prioritize and contribute to improvements that lead to concrete results.
