Are you the one?

Do you want an exciting role in electricity and work with building electricity in industry? Then you are welcome with your application today. Location Oxelösund.

Becoming part of the SSAB family means joining us on a journey. A journey that we believe is crucial for the future of the planet and sustainability. Steel has been one of the most important materials for the development of our society and will continue to be so in the future. In our homes, in bridges connecting our cities and in the cars of tomorrow. At SSAB, we are proud of our history and our leadership in high strength steel. At the same time, we are aware that steel production is one of the industries that emits the most greenhouse gases in the world. This must change. We have therefore developed the world's first fossil-free process for steel production and around 2030 we will be largely fossil-free. As part of SSAB, you will be important in realizing this goal and thus contribute to a green transition of the entire steel industry.

As an electrical technician, you prepare, plan and project manage electrical maintenance work. You work with the long-term electrical maintenance of SSAB's properties in the production area in Oxelösund and your role is both independent and important in our journey towards fossil-free steel production.

You independently plan your days and collaborate with external electrical companies and your job is varied, developing and social!

As an electrical technician, you will work with property electricity on SSAB's properties. You act as an orderer of services and materials from various suppliers for electrical maintenance in the plant area.

As an electrical technician, you do not work operationally in the business more than, for example, inspections where you perform quality checks. You will plan your work independently and coordinate various projects based on the work orders that come in.

You report to the responsible section manager for Property Services. You will have a lot of contact with construction project managers in the organization but also area technicians. In your role, you will also have the electrical operation responsibility for the plant area.

The working hours are 08-16.30 with the possibility of flex.

The flex time extends between 06.30-09.00 and 15.00-18.00.

We have a working time reduction and work 7h 45min per day excluding lunch.

Your main responsibilities

  • Manage and direct the execution of maintenance work.
  • Conduct inspections and plan the long-term electrical maintenance of the property.
  • Propose technical solutions and cost estimates based on technical solutions.
  • Procurement, requirements for services and materials for various projects and maintenance work.
  • Perform quality controls by ensuring that documentation for maintenance work from contractors meets the quality requirements and participate in inspections of maintenance work performed.

About you

  • To be relevant to the role, we see that you have at least a three-year electrical engineering upper secondary education and have several years of experience as an electrician.
  • If you have worked with high voltage and high current, this is an advantage.
  • You are used to ordering services and equipment in the electrical field.
  • Because you will be given great responsibility in many different types of assignments, we would like to see that you have a great technical interest and like problem solving.
  • To thrive and be successful in the role, we therefore see that you thrive in an independent role, are communicative, service-minded and have good collaboration skills.
  • You also have good system experience and work carefully and in a structured manner. Not least because you independently plan and run several parallel cases/maintenance work at the same time.
