About the position

As an electrician/automation electrician at SSAB, you mainly work with preventive and remedial maintenance and condition checks of all existing electrical equipment, control and drive systems and are therefore an important cog in the preventive maintenance work at SSAB Borlänge.

You work in one of several sections that perform preventive and remedial electrical maintenance. Together in the work group, you drive the development and improvement of condition-based and preventive maintenance in your area. Smaller projects can also be included in the assignment.

In the daily work, you work administratively in our maintenance system IFS with, among other things, planning work orders and ordering spare parts. You plan service and perform repairs of all existing electrical equipment. Measurement technology, data analysis and condition monitoring of our process lines are also part of the work.

The working hours are daytime with the possibility of flex.

Full-time employment, probationary employment may be applied.

About the Trainee Program

• The trainee program is individually tailored, taking into account interest, previous studies / work experience and the company's needs.
• The training is full-time and all internships are placed at SSAB during the day.
• You have a contractual salary as a regular electrician throughout the training.
• The trainee program runs during the period 2025-02-01 - 2026-01-31 and after that you work on one of our maintenance sections.

About you

• You have an upper secondary education in electricity, automation, control / control technology or drive systems, or equivalent documented knowledge in electricity.
• It is desirable, but not a requirement if you have experience of networks and IT systems. You can be newly trained or established with many years in the profession.
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English is a requirement as documentation and communication with suppliers takes place in these languages.
• Driving license B is a requirement.
