Are you technically minded and meticulous, with a drive to solve technical problems and contribute to development? As an electronics technician at SSAB, you will be part of our commitment to manufacturing world-class steel while leading the way towards a fossil-free future. In the Central Maintenance department, you will have the opportunity to work on important maintenance work that ensures the operation of our production in Luleå. Take the chance to develop with us and become an important part of our journey!
Becoming part of the SSAB family means joining us on a journey. A journey that we believe is crucial for the future of the planet and sustainability. Steel has been one of the most important materials for the development of our society and will continue to be so in the future. In our homes, in bridges connecting our cities and in the cars of tomorrow. At SSAB, we are proud of our history and our leadership in high strength steel. At the same time, we are aware that steel production is one of the industries that emits the most greenhouse gases in the world. This must change. We have therefore developed the world's first fossil-free process for steel production and around 2030 we will be largely fossil-free. As part of SSAB, you will play an important role in realizing this goal and thus contribute to the green transition of the entire steel industry.
As an Electronics Technician at SSAB, you will be responsible for maintaining, manufacturing and repairing electronics equipment at component level to ensure high operational availability in our plants. Your tasks include manufacturing, testing, troubleshooting and modifying equipment, while documenting all work in the maintenance system IFS.
The role involves close collaboration with colleagues and other departments, and you are an important part of SSAB's safety and improvement work. The work is performed during the day and requires good knowledge of soldering and troubleshooting.
