About the position

The Ceramics Maintenance section is an important part of SSAB Luleå's maintenance operations and performs masonry and casting work throughout the production chain, from coking plants and blast furnaces to steel mills and continuous casting. Ceramic maintenance masonry includes ladles and torpedoes, casting gutters for the blast furnace and much more.

Ceramic maintenance is one of eight sections in the Central Maintenance department and the position is directly subordinate to the Head of Central Workshops & Field Maintenance and is part of the Central Workshops management team. There you will be an important person to drive the work of the entire department's activities forward.

Your main responsibilities

  • As Section Manager, you are responsible for leading and developing the business in line with SSAB's overall strategies and goals through a present leadership that is characterized by continuous improvements.
  • You will be responsible for planning and following up on operations, personnel and facility issues where areas such as work environment and safety will be an important part of your assignment.
  • The section consists of 17 daytime employees.

About you

  • You have a value-driven leadership characterized by a positive view of people and you are good at developing employees and operations.
  • As a person, you are an open, committed and responsive team player with a good ability to work closely with other people.
  • You always put safety first, are structured and realize that order is an important prerequisite for the success of the assignment.
  • The work as a section manager requires that you have good computer skills and in addition to mastering Swedish in speech and writing, you also have basic knowledge of English. Much of what you need to know to succeed in the role you will have the opportunity to develop on site, but if you have previous experience of working with maintenance or production in a leading position, this is an advantage.
