We are looking for you to join SSAB Special Steels as an IT Manager in a time of change and development of working methods in connection with our implementation of both new production planning systems and business systems (SAP S4/Hana). About the position

As IT Manager, you will be responsible for the IT delivery, development, management and support of the applications that support the operations in Oxelösund, including production, maintenance, quality, logistics, supply chain and planning.

You will work with change management and with the introduction of new production and planning systems (MES) and business systems (ERP) as we are facing extensive changes in our IT landscape.

You will be responsible for a team of more than 30 professional IT employees with two direct reporting managers under you and will report directly to the Head of IT Special Steels and will be part of Special Steels IT management.

Your main responsibilities

  • Responsible for the development and maintenance of the IT systems in Oxelösund.
  • Lead and drive the implementation of new production planning systems (MES) and business systems (ERP).
  • Front figure for the business and local management with the task of driving local issues linked to IT.
  • Lead the IT team in Oxelösund, both employees and external consultants.
  • IT resource planning (money, staff, external consultants and services) for both investment projects that the department is involved in and for the daily IT operations with continuous development and support.
  • As part of Special Steel's IT management team, develop and implement the division's IT strategy.
  • Work according to our management system SSAB One and our IT processes (ITIL) together with system owners and system coordinators within the business.
  • Manage IT suppliers and external IT services from both SSAB Group IT Shared Service functions and external suppliers.

About you

  • To succeed in the role, we believe you have a relevant IT background/education.
  • You have relevant experience from similar IT manager roles and experience from extensive change work and implementation of production planning systems and business systems.
  • You are an experienced proactive change leader with the ability to drive and implement change.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills and used to managing cross-functional teams in a complex multi-party environment both in Swedish and English (the company's language).
  • You have the ability to engage with site and corporate management, line managers and your own staff.
  • You have worked in global companies where Group IT functions are part of the IT delivery for the business you were responsible for.
