About the position

As a Junior Construction Engineer at SSAB, you will support large-scale CAPEX projects and play a key role in the digital transformation of our construction processes. You will be responsible for coordinating and managing various aspects of our construction projects, working closely with engineers, consultants, and subcontractors. Your expertise in BIM and 3D/4D modeling tools will be highly valued as we enhance our construction workflows.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist in managing and coordinating construction projects, collaborating with owners, architects, consultants, and subcontractors.
  • Support the project team by creating and maintaining content libraries and enforcing standards.
  • Serve as the primary contact for BIM-related technology and issues, ensuring seamless communication between construction managers and other stakeholders.
  • Contribute to budgeting, cost estimation, and construction scheduling.
  • Document and maintain project BIM standards and processes for distribution across the project team.

Your profile

  • Education: Master’s degree in civil or construction engineering (mandatory).
  • Experience: 0-3 years of experience in construction engineering, preferably in large CAPEX projects.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in engineering software and BIM platforms such as BIM360/Autodesk Construction Cloud. Experience in 3D modeling tools like Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, CATIA, or SolidWorks is highly meriting.
  • Personal Traits: Curious, eager to learn, proactive, and self-driven with strong analytical skills. You enjoy working independently while also collaborating within a team.
  • Language: Fluent in English; strong communication and writing skills.
