We are now looking for a Learning and Development Partner who will drive and develop training and development work within the company. You will work broadly with skills development, especially linked to the transition to fossil-free production. Location Borlänge.

About the position

SSAB is undergoing a comprehensive transition towards a greener and more sustainable future with fossil-free production. This change places new demands on our employees, and we are looking for a committed partner who can help us navigate this transformation by creating and implementing development programs for our employees.

In the role, you will actively engage in local and regional networks to promote and support initiatives in training and skills development. You will also keep abreast of current challenges and opportunities in skills provision through networking and participation in relevant meetings and events.

The role is part of our HRD team for Europe, and travel may occur to support collaboration across units and regions

Your main responsibilities

  • Work closely with HRBP, managers and leadership teams to identify and create competence development plans based on business needs
  • Work with the business to define competence needs based on our strategy
  • Plan and organize competence development activities, both internal and external
  • Responsible for leading and facilitating learning and development initiatives, creating engaging learning experiences and reviewing and ensuring that existing trainings are relevant and up to date before initiating new needs.
  • Responsible for creating, managing and executing tenders for new training providers
  • Support the organization in using SSAB's LMS
  • Responsible for coordinating statutory and certificate training
  • You are also involved in developing and harmonizing the role and ways of working so that the organization we support gets the right HR support.


About you

  • A degree in human resources and working life or equivalent education is an advantage
  • You have experience of working with training, skills development and / or skills supply
  • Speak and write fluently in Swedish and English.
  • Experience from the production and manufacturing industry is an advantage
  • You have good communication skills and an ability to build relationships
  • You have a good ability to organize and plan your work
  • You have a good ability to take your own initiative
