SSAB - Machine operators - Transport
Luleå, Sverige
Type of Employment Part-time
Job position Loader operator
Work model On location
Application due date 12 January 2025
Are you the one?

We are now looking for a machine operator for the Transportation section in Luleå. The role involves being independently responsible for delivering transportation related machine services to our customers internally.

Becoming part of the SSAB family means joining a journey. A journey that we believe is crucial for the future and sustainability of the planet. Steel has been one of the most important materials for the development of our society and will continue to be so in the future. In our homes, in bridges connecting our cities and in the cars of tomorrow. At SSAB, we are proud of our history and our leadership in high strength steel. At the same time, we are aware that steel production is one of the industries that emits the most greenhouse gases in the world. This must change. We have therefore developed the world's first fossil-free process for steel production and around 2030 we will be largely fossil-free. As part of SSAB, you will be important in realizing this goal and thus contribute to a green transition of the entire steel industry.

As a machine operator, you have a free and varied job where a high level of service is expected by your customers. In the department, we have a number of different machines to carry out our transport-related assignments. As we believe in collaboration within the section and that we are strong together, we see it as obvious that you want to develop and learn to drive several different machines in the department so that together we can be strong and stiff in our joint delivery commitments.

All employees have the opportunity to influence the development of the section and we want you to work with us for a safer and more efficient business. This means that we want to develop our flows, our working methods and our ability to take care of our machines and our equipment so that we can increase availability and reduce maintenance costs.

We see increased needs for transport within our plant in Luleå and we want to develop the department to be able to transport increased volumes in a safer and more efficient way.

The working hours are daytime.

About you

  • You are driven with experience of heavy transportation.
  • Wheel loader/Truck license and C-card are desirable.
  • You have computer software such as Office, Powerpoint, Word and Excel.
  • If you have experience of development and safety work, this is an advantage.

Our offer

At SSAB, diversity and inclusion are part of our culture. We apply our values - driven, genuine and ahead of the curve - in our daily decision-making, always with the customer in focus. This makes us all team players, with a common drive to improve. When you join SSAB, you will be part of an organization of passionate problem solvers working together on important challenges. We will support your growth by offering a safe and friendly workplace that is conducive to work-life balance. At SSAB, you will have the opportunity to broaden your knowledge and grow.
