About the position

Your mission as a maintenance developer is to have a visionary approach and develop SSAB Borlänge's maintenance methods and tools from a strategic perspective.

The aim is to continuously develop our processes and our way of working towards data-driven, fact-based decision-making in maintenance.

In this role, you will actively collaborate and support the entire business with maintenance issues towards world-class maintenance.

The Maintenance Development section runs Borlänge's internal training program for our employees working with maintenance. The section collaborates with various universities where we receive graduates and participate in projects.

Your main responsibilities

  • You will drive maintenance towards a more automatic condition-based maintenance.
  • Support the business in various maintenance-related issues.
  • You will support in competence mapping and competence development.
  • The maintenance system will be a natural tool in your role.


About you

  • To succeed in the role, you need to have deep knowledge of maintenance technology.
  • You have a genuine interest in the development of Preventive Maintenance and maintenance methods.
  • You have at least an engineering degree in mechanical engineering or have acquired equivalent knowledge.
  • You have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.
  • Your decisions are based on facts.
  • You have drive, make decisions and are communicative.
