Do you want to work with providing support to HR colleagues and managers in matters related to union negotiations and labor law? As a local negotiator in Borlänge, you will drive the work of developing SSAB's trade union relations and ensure that SSAB as a company complies with laws and collective agreements. About the position

As a negotiator in Borlänge, you will work closely and together with the local HR organization in Borlänge. You will report to the Head of Negotiations for Sweden and be part of the negotiation team working with labor law and negotiation throughout SSAB's Swedish operations.

You will work as a qualified specialist support and advisor on labor law issues, negotiations and union relations. You will interpret laws and collective agreements, handle compensation and terms and conditions issues and prepare and conduct negotiations. The task also includes updating HR organizations and managers on current labor laws and agreements and conducting internal training in labor law for managers.

The work involves many contact areas and requires broad cooperation within the organization with managers, trade unions and employees.

Your main responsibilities

  • Drive and develop union relations both locally in Borlänge and for the Swedish operations together with your colleagues in the negotiation team.
  • Develop local collective agreements for the operations in Borlänge and for Sweden together with your colleagues in the negotiation team.
  • Specialist support and advisor to HR organization and managers in labor law issues and negotiations.
  • Training of HR colleagues and managers in labor law and collective agreement application.

About you

  • Academic degree in law, HR or other relevant field.
  • Experience working with labor law and negotiations as well as union relations.
  • A good negotiator with the ability to be solution-oriented and pragmatic and good at building and maintaining good relationships.
  • Analytical and creative - able to analyze facts and situations and find creative solutions going forward.
  • Clear and consultative in your communication with others.
  • Ability to see issues from a holistic perspective and interest in driving development forward with the perspective of what is best for SSAB as a whole.
  • Decisive - have the courage to make decisions and implement them.
  • Since you will work in a global environment and belong to a group-wide global function, it is important that you are fluent in both Swedish and English.
