About the position

Now we are looking for an Operations Assistant to our Maintenance and Energy department, section Energy Distribution. In this role, you will lead and coach towards a culture where health and safety risks and deviations are identified and eliminated. You will coordinate daily operations and work to increase safety and reliability within budgeted costs.

You will also manage energy distribution facilities within SSAB EMEA Borlänge and take the necessary actions within financial limits to fulfill your responsibilities.

Collaboration with the section manager and other staff is important to prioritize resources and achieve the section's goals.

Your duties include following and developing procedures, ensuring that operational and load parameters are safe and available, and driving and participating in activities to achieve our strategy.

You will investigate and address health and safety incidents in MIA, analyze availability and costs in collaboration with the section manager, and quality assure and follow up maintenance. Supporting the Operations Center staff in operational technical matters is also part of the role.

You will participate in the development and implementation of investments, work with continuous improvements of equipment, methods and working methods, as well as plan production and develop staff in the area of responsibility. You will promote good well-being and good relationships within the section and department.

To succeed in the role, you need to have experience in leading yourself and others, knowledge of energy distribution and maintenance planning is an advantage.

Your main responsibilities

• Plan the preparation and coordination of maintenance work in the section.
• Be the contact person for suppliers and authorities.
• Be the link between the five shift teams and the management team.
• Be involved in driving improvement work at the section's facilities.

About you

• You have easy communication with people at different levels and different roles within SSAB as well as with external suppliers.
• It is an advantage if you have worked with heat-producing plants and have a boiler certificate class 1.
