About the position

As an operator at RH, you are part of the Raw Steel Operations Service Group. Rh is one of SSAB Luleå's secondary metallurgy stations where we alloy steel under vacuum conditions. Your tasks include treating steel in the plant so that it gets the right composition of alloys and the right temperatures for the next process step, this has a great impact on the properties of the steel in the end. There is also the possibility to rotate towards other roles in the Operations Service Group. Working hours are mainly divided into shifts in the morning (06.00-14.00) and afternoon (14.00-22.00).

Your main responsibilities

  • Treatment of steel via RH.
  • Operator maintenance in connection with RH and other steelworks
  • Cleaning and repair of pig iron ladles
  • Together with the manager and work group, develop the business and our processes
  • Plan so that the business runs smoothly in the short and long term

About you

  • Maintain your own and others' safety in everyday life.
  • You have a curiosity and drive to learn new things.

  • You have good self-awareness, spread positive energy and set a good example
  • You contribute to improvements and achieve results
  • Education with a mechanical focus or equivalent work experience is an advantage
  • Experience in heavy industry, maintenance systems and mechanic knowledge is a plus
  • If you have a wheel loader, traverse and/or forklift license, this is a plus
