We are now looking for a supervisor / shunting driver for rail transportation. With us, you will learn everything you need to succeed in the role and we offer training for the specific service. Interviews are ongoing so apply today. Location Luleå.
Becoming part of the SSAB family means joining a journey. A journey that we believe is crucial for the future of the planet and sustainability. Steel has been one of the most important materials for the development of our society and will continue to be so in the future. In our homes, in bridges connecting our cities and in the cars of tomorrow. At SSAB, we are proud of our history and our leadership in high strength steel. At the same time, we are aware that steel production is one of the industries that emits the most greenhouse gases in the world. This must change. We have therefore developed the world's first fossil-free process for steel production and around 2030 we will be largely fossil-free. As part of SSAB, you will be important in realizing this goal and thus contribute to a green transition of the entire steel industry.
In your role, your main tasks are to transport pig iron, slag and steel blanks using locomotives inside SSAB's industrial area.
The transports have a time regulation depending on how the pig iron production proceeds. The goal for you is to manage the transports continuously without any disturbances or interruptions.
Work rotation with tasks on other sections may occur.
In the work, it is of great importance to be able to prioritize safety even under stressful situations and to have a good ability to read and understand regulations and instructions.
The working hours are 5 shifts.
