Do you enjoy collaborating with others to develop processes and ways of working and contribute to creating a lighter, stronger and more sustainable world in a company that strives to be the safest in the world? We are now looking for a process developer for the Cold Rolling Mill in the Pickling & Packaging section. We would like to see that you have a background in electricity, such as an electrical engineer or in technical physics. Location Borlänge. Welcome with your application!
Becoming part of the SSAB family means joining us on a journey. A journey that we believe is crucial for the future of the planet and sustainability. Steel has been one of the most important materials for the development of our society and will continue to be so in the future. In our homes, in bridges connecting our cities and in the cars of tomorrow. At SSAB, we are proud of our history and our leadership in high strength steel. At the same time, we are aware that steel production is one of the industries that emits the most greenhouse gases in the world. This must change. We have therefore developed the world's first fossil-free process for steel production and around 2030 we will be largely fossil-free. As part of SSAB, you will be important in realizing this goal and thus contribute to a green transition of the entire steel industry.
The cold rolling mill consists of sections Pickling & Packaging, Rolling & Slitting, Annealing and Production-related Maintenance. It produces pickled, cold rolled and annealed material for internal and external customers. The Pickling & Packaging section includes two pickling lines, a regeneration plant, water treatment and two packaging lines.
SSAB is in an expansion phase and our strategy includes increasing the growth of our premium products while switching to fossil-free production. Pickling & Packaging is an important part of this strategy and has several exciting challenges in the form of new products in their pickling lines and ongoing investments. Working with productivity, quality, availability and working methods is also an important part as the demand for their products is high.
As a process developer, you work across the entire Pickling & Packaging section but above all towards the pickling lines. You will work closely with many professional groups both internally and externally to improve quality, productivity and availability in the lines. You initiate and run both smaller and larger development projects to improve their facilities in the long term towards set goals.
SSAB is building for the future with several investments and the transition to a fossil-free business. As a process developer, you will be part of improvement groups where a combination of daily work and improvements is a natural part of the work.
Together with your colleagues, you run both smaller and larger development assignments to improve their products, processes and facilities in the long term towards set goals.
Selection and interviews are ongoing and the position may be filled before the deadline
