Becoming part of the SSAB family means joining us on a journey. A journey that we believe is crucial for the future of the planet and sustainability. Steel has been one of the most important materials for the development of our society and will continue to be so in the future. In our homes, in bridges connecting our cities and in the cars of tomorrow. At SSAB, we are proud of our history and our leadership in high strength steel. At the same time, we are aware that steel production is one of the industries that emits the most greenhouse gases in the world. This must change. We have therefore developed the world's first fossil-free process for steel production and around 2030 we will be largely fossil-free. As part of SSAB, you will be important in realizing this goal and thus contribute to a green transition of the entire steel industry.

As a process operator with us, you will have a central role in monitoring and controlling the manufacturing process in the steel plant. You will be responsible for ensuring that production runs smoothly and according to our high quality and safety standards. By closely monitoring the processes, you will ensure that the products meet our standards while helping to prevent any disruptions.

As part of your work, you will also carry out simple maintenance and troubleshooting of machines and equipment, allowing you to quickly fix problems and keep production running. You will work with your colleagues to achieve production targets and create a collaborative and safe working environment. Documenting and reporting production data is also an important part of your role, as it ensures that we always have control over the efficiency and quality of production.

We are looking for you who are technically interested, solution-oriented and enjoy working in a dynamic environment where precision and accuracy are crucial. Previous experience of similar work is an advantage, but above all we value your willingness to learn and develop. We will provide you with the training and support you need to succeed and thrive in your role as a process operator.

Working hours are mainly based on 5 shifts. We are looking for people for both permanent and temporary positions.

Your main responsibilities

  • Monitor and control the manufacturing process in the steel mill.
  • Ensure that production complies with applicable quality and safety regulations.
  • Perform simple maintenance and troubleshooting of machines and production equipment
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure production targets are met.
  • Documenting and reporting production data

About you

  • Experience in industrial work, preferably from the steel or metal industry (advantageous but not required)
  • Technical understanding and interest in machinery and processes (advantageous but not required)
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Relevant education in engineering or industry (preferred but not required)
  • Accurate and responsible.
  • Problem solving skills and high stress tolerance
  • Good interpersonal skills and willingness to develop.
