Are you the one?

We are now looking for a Shift Production Planner for the Steelworks. This key position requires a high level of coordination and communication. Are you structured, meticulous and enjoy being the spider in the web? Then this could be the perfect opportunity for you. Welcome with your application today, selection and interviews will take place continuously. Location Luleå.

Becoming part of the SSAB family means joining us on a journey. A journey that we believe is crucial for the future of the planet and sustainability. Steel has been one of the most important materials for the development of our society and will continue to be so in the future. In our homes, in bridges connecting our cities and in the cars of tomorrow. At SSAB, we are proud of our history and our leadership in high strength steel. At the same time, we are aware that steel production is one of the industries that emits the most greenhouse gases in the world. This must change. We have therefore developed the world's first fossil-free process for steel production and around 2030 we will be largely fossil-free. As part of SSAB, you will play an important role in realizing this goal and thus contribute to the green transition of the entire steel industry.

As a planner, you are responsible for planning and controlling the production flow in the steel mill within our local production system. This role is crucial for our business, and we offer a solid and thorough training to make you feel confident in your tasks.

The working hours are 5 shifts.

Your main responsibilities

  • Making production plans. From liquid pig iron to ready-to-ship blanks.
  • Maintain contact with operators and operations managers and be generally informed about the entire production situation.
  • Monitor the production flow: Follow up time, temperature, analysis and logging of events.
  • Prioritize incoming orders and ensure that these are correctly scheduled.
  • Customer contacts. Correct production plan in case of deviations.
  • Approval of blanks and ensure that they correspond to the intended order.

About you

  • You are thorough and structured, and enjoy being the spider in the web.
  • You have good communication and collaboration skills.
  • You are stress-resistant and can handle multiple tasks at the same time.
  • You feel confident and enjoy working independently, but are not afraid to ask for help when needed.

We will support your growth by offering a safe and friendly workplace that is conducive to work-life balance. At SSAB, you will have the opportunity to broaden your knowledge and grow.
