Are you the one?

Becoming part of the SSAB family means joining us on a journey. A journey that we believe is crucial for the future of the planet and sustainability. Steel has been one of the most important materials for the development of our society and will continue to be so in the future. In our homes, in bridges connecting our cities and in the cars of tomorrow. At SSAB, we are proud of our history and our leadership in high strength steel. At the same time, we are aware that steel production is one of the industries that emits the most greenhouse gases in the world. This must change. We have therefore developed the world's first fossil-free process for steel production and around 2030 we will be largely fossil-free. As part of SSAB, you will be important in realizing this goal and thus contribute to a green transition of the entire steel industry.

As a local security coordinator at the site, you will support the line in the security work with physical security that makes criminal activity in the area more difficult. An important part of the work will be to develop and clarify working methods, instructions and collaboration in the security area.

Your main responsibilities

  • Create conditions and support responsible managers in the security area and draw attention to shortcomings and risks from a security point of view.
  • Support the business by writing and updating internal procedures and informing about them. External rules and legal requirements from a security point of view are broken down into business-related rules and guidelines.
  • Responsible for the area's equipment and systems linked to security and be the contact person for the supplier of surveillance at the location.

About you

  • You have experience of strategic security work with documented good results.
  • You have good knowledge of both Swedish and English and can communicate effectively in both speech and writing.
  • You are driven, communicative, analytical and enjoy working independently as well as in a team with others.
  • You have experience of working with and developing systems, preferably with experience of safety systems.

Our offer

At SSAB, diversity and inclusion are part of our culture. We apply our values - driven, genuine and ahead of the curve - in our daily decision-making, always with the customer in focus. We will support your growth by offering a safe and friendly workplace that is conducive to work-life balance. At SSAB, you will have the opportunity to broaden your knowledge and grow.

We offer a wide range of valued benefits to our employees. Here are some examples:
