Application due date 3 October 2024
Are you the one?

Do you have experience of operational and strategic work with security issues? Do you want to be involved in developing SSAB Luleå's security work regarding shell protection, surveillance and other security issues? You are welcome to apply for an important role in our change work towards fossil-free production.

Becoming part of the SSAB family means joining us on a journey. A journey that we believe is crucial for the future of the planet and sustainability. Steel has been one of the most important materials for the development of our society and will continue to be so in the future. In our homes, in bridges connecting our cities and in the cars of tomorrow. At SSAB, we are proud of our history and our leadership in high strength steel. At the same time, we are aware that steel production is one of the industries that emits the most greenhouse gases in the world. This must change. We have therefore developed the world's first fossil-free process for steel production and around 2030 we will be largely fossil-free. As part of SSAB, you will play an important role in realizing this goal and thus contribute to a green transition of the entire steel industry.

About the position

Over the next few years, SSAB Luleå will be converting its steel production. This will mean new conditions and requirements in all areas linked to the physical protection of the business. The role means that within SSAB Luleå you have overall responsibility for security-related issues, both strategically and operationally. An important part of the work will be to develop and clarify working methods, organization and collaboration in the security area.

Your main responsibilities

  • Drive and develop how security work (Security) will be handled during establishment, implementation and during the transition to our future steel production.
  • Responsibility for agreements, collaborations and contracts in the security area and develop these so that they meet the needs of existing and future operations and the prevailing security climate.
  • Coordinate and manage security projects, updates and changes.
  • You will report to and interact with the site management team.

About you

  • We are looking for you who have solid experience in operational and strategic security work with documented good results.
  • You have at least an upper secondary education.
  • We expect you to have good knowledge of Swedish and English and be able to communicate effectively in both speech and writing.
  • You are driven, communicative and enjoy working independently as well as in a team.
  • To succeed in the role, you need to have an unpretentious approach and be a humble team player, while being able to step in and show the right direction where needed.

At SSAB, diversity and inclusion are part of our culture. We apply our values - driven, genuine and ahead of the curve - in our daily decision-making, always with the customer in focus.
