You will be part of a central section that works with assignments towards our routes throughout the plant in Borlänge. As a sheet metal worker/welder in our work group, you work with manufacturing and preventive/remedial maintenance to support high availability and development of our routes.

Selection and interviews are ongoing and the position may be filled before the deadline.

Your main responsibilities

  • Drawing reading
  • Welding and bending, fabrication and repairs
  • Work planning
  • Root cause analysis
  • Participate in improvement work
  • Update and develop preventive maintenance

About you

  • You have a suitable technical education at a minimum of upper secondary level or equivalent documented knowledge.
  • We would like to see that you have at least 5 years of experience working with welding / manufacturing and that you master the welding methods Mma, Mig / Mag and also gas cutting.
  • We attach great importance to your personal qualities such as a sense of responsibility, initiative, ability to cooperate and humility.
  • You are able to communicate easily with people at different levels and in different roles, both internally within SSAB and with external suppliers.
