Are you the one?

Are you an experienced sheet metal worker or welder who wants new challenges? We are now looking for a driven and careful person to strengthen our team at our Machine & Sheet Metal Workshop. Location Luleå.

Becoming part of the SSAB family means joining us on a journey. A journey that we believe is crucial for the future of the planet and sustainability. Steel has been one of the most important materials for the development of our society and will continue to be so in the future. In our homes, in bridges connecting our cities and in the cars of tomorrow. At SSAB, we are proud of our history and our leadership in high strength steel. At the same time, we are aware that steel production is one of the industries that emits the most greenhouse gases in the world. This must change. We have therefore developed the world's first fossil-free process for steel production and around 2030 we will be largely fossil-free. As part of SSAB, you will play an important role in realizing this goal and thus contribute to a green transition of the entire steel industry.

SSAB's workshop is centrally organized and collaborates with all organizational levels within production. Together, in close cooperation with the production units, we deliver qualified services in a timely manner of good quality. As a welder at the Machine & Sheet Metal Workshop, your job will be to repair and manufacture new sheet metal structures for SSAB's production equipment.

  • Repair and manufacture new sheet metal structures for SSAB's production.
  • Work with improvements on structures and equipment.
  • Work with high safety awareness by using the right safety equipment and following safety procedures.
  • Reporting and orders in our computer system IFS 8 (internal training will be given in this).

About you

  • Have a few years of experience as a sheet metal worker/welder.
  • Have knowledge in MIG, TIG and MMA welding.
  • You are independent, careful and responsible and have an eye for detail.
  • Can read and understand drawings and technical specifications.
  • You have a B driving license.
  • You have good computer skills. You need to master Swedish in speech and writing.
