About the position

As a traverse technician, your main responsibility will be to work with traverse maintenance, which means systematically taking measures to improve the operational reliability of the equipment in the area.

Your main tasks are the operational availability and safety of the traverses. You plan improvements and measures in the event of errors and deficiencies. Together with the Maintenance organization at the Steelworks, you will decide on the remedial and preventive maintenance of the overhead cranes and drive improvement regarding operational safety.

An important part of the role is to perform and participate in cause analyses, plan measures for maintenance-related production disruptions and be responsible for ensuring that we comply with legal requirements and third-party inspections.

Since safety is the highest priority within SSAB, you will be a key person in developing safety within your area of responsibility.

Your main responsibilities

  • Maintenance of overhead cranes, preventive and remedial.
  • Management of 3rd party inspections via Q3 web/IFS.
  • Continuous communication with customers and partners.
  • Drive improvement, development issues and projects.
  • Safety work in MIA, including risk analysis.
