The kindergarten sector in Stange municipality is developing rapidly. Kindergartens and schools are taking part in the county council's focus on culture for learning and a good, inclusive kindergarten environment, with a focus on educational practice with professional adults. Children in Stange should be able to grow up in the best culture for learning and development.
In Stange municipality there are 9 private and 10 municipal kindergartens. The special needs teachers in the kindergartens in Stange are organized under the psychological-pedagogical department in Stangehjelpa. The department has approximately 29 full-time equivalents, including PP advisors, speech therapists, psychologists, social workers, special educators and migration educators. Stangehjelpa's vision is: "Together we create change, meaning and community".
We are now looking for a special educator in a 100% permanent position.
Tasks
- Perform special education work related to individual children and groups in kindergarten.
- Responsibility for preparing, updating and evaluating individual education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with the kindergarten and parents.
- Contribute to the implementation of individual plans and goals for individual children and groups.
- Collaborate closely with parents and other partners.
- Contribute to the professional development and supervision of staff.
- Share responsibility for ensuring that the educational work is carried out in accordance with laws and regulations.
- Mapping using various mapping tools.
Qualifications
- Approved kindergarten teacher education.
- Additional education in special education (minimum 30 credits) is desirable.
- Experience in working purposefully with individual children and groups in kindergartens is desirable.
- Very good oral and written presentation skills.
- Applicants with foreign professional qualifications must attach documentation that they meet the requirement for Norwegian language skills according to the Kindergarten Act §18b. Applicants without attached documentation will not be considered.
- Must have their own car.
- Police certificate required before appointment.
