About us:

Stegra aims to transform the global steel industry by producing green steel, with the ultimate goal of reducing carbon dioxide emissions to zero. By using green hydrogen and fossil-free electricity instead of coal, water and heat will be our primary emissions. By 2030, our ambition is to produce 5 million tons of green steel per year in our fully integrated, digitalized and sustainable plant in Boden - currently under construction.

Accountant for Stegra in Boden

We are in an intense phase of development where we are building and refining our processes in parallel with the growth of the business. As part of our accounting team, you will work broadly in accounting and financial statement work, with a particular focus on production costs and major investments (CAPEX).

The role also involves being a key contact between accounting, production and business control to ensure proper management and analysis of production costs and deviations. We value both specialist knowledge and collaboration, which means that you will have your own responsibilities while supporting each other in the team.

You will also help to establish and develop effective structures for accounting and follow-up.

Your main duties will include:

  • Monthly accounts and reporting
  • Reconciliations and accruals
  • Current accounting
  • Management and administration of fixed assets (CAPEX) and establishment and maintenance of fixed asset registers
  • Reporting and analyzing production costs and production variances
  • Support for system change and improvement of accounting processes
  • Participation in development projects and accounting studies

This is what you already have:

  • University-level financial education or equivalent experience in accounting
  • Experience from accounting in production and/or warehouse operations and preferably from major investments
  • Experience working with fixed assets and CAPEX accounting
  • Experience with system changeover is an advantage
  • Good knowledge of Excel and financial systems
  • Ability to work in a structured, accurate and autonomous way in a dynamic environment
  • Communicative and collaborative with the ability to create structure and drive improvements
