DRP Unit Lead – Engineering
The DRP Unit Lead - Engineering is responsible for overseeing and driving the technical and operational functions within the unit. This role involves leading a team of engineers ensuring the delivery of innovative solutions and aligning engineering efforts with organizational goals. The role will serve as a critical bridge between engineering, process and other operational departments, ensuring effective collaboration and high-quality outcomes. The role involves direct reporting to the Area Engineering Manager, with responsibilities covering team leadership, technical oversight, and project delivery.

Responsabilities:

• Serve as the directly responsible individual for engineering projects and initiatives within the unit.
• Provide technical and operational leadership to a team of engineers.
• Actively participate in process reviews to identify potential improvements in design, safety, efficiency, and reliability.
• Establish clear goals, assign responsibilities, and ensure team alignment with organizational objectives.
• Plan, execute, and monitor engineering activities, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to maintain project cost and time.
• Maintain clear documentation and ensure transparent communication with OEM’s and EPCMs.
• Drive technical innovation, continuously improving engineering practices and standards.
• Familiar with Swedish Local regulation, Pressure Vessel Directives and CE Certification.
• Perform design reviews, solve complex issues, and provide guidance on technical challenges.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Act as the primary point of contact for OEMs regarding engineering deliverables and updates.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including process, operations, and quality assurance, to align objectives.
• Collaborate closely with plant construction and commissioning teams to ensure that engineering designs and systems are implemented effectively.
• Ensure seamless handover of systems to operations teams with proper documentation.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Civil or a related field).
* Minimum of 7 years of experience in plant design and project management, preferably in the heavy industrial sector.
* Proven track record in large-scale greenfield projects.
* Knowledge of the metal & mining industry and integration with core production processes.
* Excellent project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
