About us:

Stegra is an industrial impact company with the ambition to reduce carbon emissions in fossil-intensive industries that have difficulty transitioning. We are building our first plant for large-scale production of green hydrogen, green iron and green steel in Boden. Founded in 2020 as H2 Green Steel and renamed Stegra in 2024, our purpose has expanded to be the engine of the decarbonization of emission-intensive industries. And we recognize that these are the industries we will continue to address and reduce emissions in.

We have offices in Boden and Stockholm and expect to be around 1500 employees by the end of 2025. Maintenance Mechanic

Responsibilities:

  • Performing preventive and corrective mechanical maintenance on our production lines.
  • Collaborate with operators, technicians and other production personnel to identify and communicate improvements.
    • Install, maintain and repair mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment.
      • Read and update technical documentation when necessary.
      • Inspect components to detect wear, vibration or insufficient lubrication.

      • Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic and electromechanical components.

      • Repair and replace equipment.
        • Contribute to the optimization of maintenance programs and continuous improvement.
          • Training others in specific maintenance tasks.
            • Evaluate the need for spare parts for the equipment.

            • Maintain good cleaning practices and a safe working environment together with the team.
              • Ensure safe working conditions with Lock Out, Tag Out procedures during repairs and inspections.


              Your experience:

              • Relevant education in mechanics or a similar field.
              • Experience from the steel production industry is highly meritorious.
                • Ability to work under limited supervision in non-routine situations.
                • Advanced knowledge of operational processes and tools.
                  • Good knowledge of English; Swedish is meritorious.
                  • Ability to work independently and carefully.
                  • Ability to work in shifts.
                  • Ability to work in shifts.
