Stegra, formerly know as H2 Green Steel, is on a mission to disrupt the global steel industry by producing green steel, with the end goal of bringing down CO2 emissions to zero. By using green hydrogen and fossil-free electricity instead of coal; water and heat will be our primary emissions. By 2030, our ambition is to produce 5 million tonnes of green steel annually in our fully integrated, digitalized, and sustainable plant in Boden, located in northern Sweden - currently in construction phase. Plant Coordinator
As the Plant Coordinator, you’ll play a pivotal role in bridging production and maintenance teams, ensuring smooth operations and creating a safe, efficient, and collaborative work environment. This role offers the opportunity to lead critical planning activities and support teams in achieving excellence in day-to-day operations.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain a safe workplace by promoting and enforcing compliance with safety regulations and standards.
- Develop and manage detailed shutdown/startup schedules to align with operational and maintenance priorities.
- Oversee Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and Permit-to-Work (PTW) processes, ensuring compliance through audits and strong supervision.
- Act as the central link between maintenance and operations, fostering clear communication and efficient task execution.
- Support teams in addressing process deviations and troubleshooting to ensure optimal plant performance.
Qualifications:
- Technical or engineering qualification in mechanical, industrial, or chemical fields (safety certifications preferred).
- Experience of 5+ years in process industries like oil & gas, chemicals, or pulp & paper, with expertise in ATEX environments and handling flammable gases.
- Proficient in maintenance systems, scheduling tools, and plant processes, with a strong understanding of LOTO and PTW systems.
- Strong analytical skills to address process deviations and operational challenges.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate seamlessly between teams, with fluency in English (Swedish is a plus).
- Comfortable using PPE and working in industrial settings with varying temperatures and chemical exposure, while responding promptly to operational needs.
